About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices using Spring Boot
Work with legacy systems, including Struts, Servlets, JSP, and PrimeFaces
Implement Docker containers and orchestration with Kubernetes
Develop data streaming solutions using Kafka and Kafka Streams
Ensure code quality by following best practices and conducting testing
Collaborate with cross-functional QA, DevOps, and Product Owner teams
Document processes and architectural decisions
Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments
Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
Experience in software engineering, with relevant experience in Java and/or JVM-based languages
Experience developing and operating systems using Java, microservices, and APIs
Knowledge of service containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift
Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam
Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile Scrum methodology
Knowledge of private and public cloud environments, including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
Focus on quality and best practices, with a commitment to readable, well-tested, and maintainable code
Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes
