About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance microservices and backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3
Design, implement, and document REST APIs, considering security, performance, versioning, and scalability
Analyze solutions from an architectural perspective, identifying risks, dependencies, and impacts, as well as proposing technical improvements and alternatives
Support development decisions with critical thinking by evaluating scenarios and guiding solutions aligned with architectural best practices and business needs
Develop synchronous and asynchronous integrations using messaging and event-driven architecture
Model data, optimize queries, and ensure quality through automated testing, observability, and development best practices
Work with containerization and deployment in Kubernetes environments in partnership with platform teams
Conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and provide technical support to less experienced professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of experience in backend development, including at least 3 years working with Java and Spring Boot
Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot 3, microservices, REST APIs, and OpenAPI/Swagger
Knowledge of development principles and patterns, such as DDD, Clean Architecture, SOLID, and design patterns
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and JPA/Hibernate
Knowledge of automated testing with JUnit 5 and Mockito, Docker, Git, and CI/CD
Ability to analyze complex scenarios, anticipate risks, assess impacts, and recommend well-founded technical solutions based on architectural best practices
Autonomy, critical thinking, and clear communication skills to collaborate with technical and business teams
Preferred: experience with messaging and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus)
Preferred: knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred: experience with observability, API security, and NoSQL databases
Preferred: familiarity with enterprise architecture and artificial intelligence tools applied to software development
Preferred: experience in large-scale environments, particularly in the financial services or telecommunications sectors
