About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product strategy and roadmap for the end-to-end student experience across D2C and B2B2C businesses
- Improve onboarding, live instruction, graduation, certification, and licensing-exam experiences
- Challenge assumptions and develop evidence-backed ideas to improve completion, certification pass rates, and job outcomes
- Partner with Student Experience teams to identify issues and determine whether to solve them with product, process, or people
- Conduct student interviews, usability sessions, and feedback loops
- Run A/B tests and rapid prototypes
- Collaborate with design and engineering to ship intuitive, mobile-friendly learner experiences
- Use AI and automation to provide personalized support at scale
- Define and track metrics for engagement, retention, completion, satisfaction/NPS, and job placement
- Partner with student success coaches, instructors, career services, design, engineering, data, and marketing
- Report directly to the Senior Director, Product Management
- Complete interview stages including an intro call, hiring-manager project deep dive and mini case, take-home case study and presentation, and onsite interview in SoHo, NYC
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of product management experience
- Strong track record building consumer-facing products
- Proven success moving engagement, retention, or conversion metrics for a large user base
- Experience with structured discovery, hypothesis-driven experimentation, focused prioritization, roadmap ownership, and clear documentation
- Deep user focus and ability to turn qualitative insights and complex data into product decisions
- Ability to work with complex data sets and write SQL
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with operators, instructors, executives, and technical teams
- Ability to articulate tradeoffs, make decisions with imperfect information, and find the 80/20 quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bonus: experience in EdTech, healthcare, workforce development, or another mission-driven industry
- Bonus: experience designing products for adult learners, career changers, or underserved populations
- Bonus: experience blending self-serve software with human support
- Must be able to work from the NYC office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday
