About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage receiving and shipping materials arriving at 3PL warehouses and/or suppliers
  • Administer receiving purchase orders and ensure receipts are processed accurately and timely
  • Work with schedules to ensure supplies needed to fulfill orders are on hand
  • Work with the Buyer to ensure supplies are ordered and tracked when needed
  • Work directly with 3PL warehouses, client management specialists, buyers, schedulers, and Sales Department teams
  • Coordinate closely with various departments within the corporate office
  • Receive material into Epicor against purchase orders
  • Ensure materials are received into the correct warehouse and/or supplier/subcontractor location
  • Monitor the AP Invoice Exceptions dashboard for invoices without receipts
  • Allocate and release materials for customer shipments
  • Create pack slips and attach necessary documents to ensure timely customer invoicing
  • Monitor the Release Schedule dashboard to manage incoming purchase orders and outgoing sales orders
  • Monitor and ensure information from 3PLs and/or suppliers is accurate and timely
  • Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding packing slips and receiver reports
  • Monitor paperwork flow from shipping or receiving to inventory control for timely data entry
  • Communicate with all departments to accomplish shipping and receiving objectives effectively and efficiently
  • Report to the branch Office Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of related production planning/forecasting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics or other related field or experience
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system knowledge for core supply chain, manufacturing, services, financial and other processes of an organization required
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual communication and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Webex and Zoom highly preferred
  • Experience in a corporate sales and service environment is preferred
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems
  • Attention to detail and service oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time to meet delivery deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with both front office staff and warehouse staff
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Must work well independently and be self-motivated
