About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with a team of analysts and the executive sales team to support growth of new and existing business through statistics and data
Analyze and implement pricing based on current market prices, historical trends, company cost structure, business growth objectives, and profitability targets
Complete pricing submissions using knowledge of company bid-rate structure against critical customer deadlines
Write complex queries and formulas
Research pricing discrepancies and report findings
Monitor outstanding proposals through multiple rounds of pricing updates
Update the database with new and revised contract rate terms for spot and fixed-term pricing
Maintain detailed records of completed agreements
Manage day-to-day pricing activities, troubleshoot, manage exceptions, and perform ad-hoc analyses for strategic initiatives
Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports on national high-profile accounts and summarize trends

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university with a concentration that leans heavy on numbers/analytics
5+ years of analyst experience
Proactive approach to researching
Structurally organized and notes centric
Experience summarizing results and producing reports using advanced Microsoft Excel functions
Composed under pressure despite changing priorities and occasional interruptions
Critical thinking and effective communication
Highly organized and communicative
Extremely personable and comfortable working closely with executive management
Preferred: Passion for numbers and understanding business
Preferred: Process-oriented
Preferred: KPI Reporting
Preferred: Power BI, Tableau or other data warehousing tools
Candidates must complete an Excel-based assessment to be considered
