About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute day-to-day transactional processing for assigned accounts in compliance with established Service Level Agreements
  • Perform account analysis, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting to support accounting cycles and business requirements
  • Handle queries from internal and external counterparts and customers
  • Maintain internal controls in compliance with Stolt-Nielsen Policies & Procedures, IFRS or applicable GAAP, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and recommend new reports to support customer information needs
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring audit-worthiness of assigned accounts and reports
  • Participate in projects to improve systems and processes, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Gather and interpret complex data to produce analyses supporting business and organizational decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or other related business course
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification an advantage
  • At least Intermediate MS Excel knowledge
  • Ability to read, understand, verbally exchange information, and compose written material for business purposes in English
  • Ability to express ideas and information in an organized and logical manner
  • Quantitative and analytical skills for problem solving and issue/risk mitigation
  • Basic knowledge of finance and accounting principles and processes
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement to work effectiveness and efficiency, and drive necessary action to completion
  • Sound work ethics, respect, team building, and cultural sensitivity and awareness
  • Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and proven leadership
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks at a time
