About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple supervisors and hourly associates in a warehouse or small grouping of warehouses ranging from 30,000 to 600,000 square feet per building
  • Plan, monitor and execute staffing schedules and adjust them as needed
  • Manage inbound and outbound truck loading and unloading while maintaining warehouse organization and inventory accuracy
  • Maintain daily productivity, customer service and safety standards
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain professional, courteous relations with strategic partners
  • Train, coach, mentor and develop staff; conduct performance reviews and provide career development opportunities
  • Manage revenue and expenses against budget and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Communicate objectives, policies, procedures, safety methods and programs to operations staff
  • Assist in delivering the facility-wide operational budget
  • Assist with recruiting and strategic labor planning
  • Establish and deliver safety, efficiency and quality targets
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive peak-season strategies
  • Collaborate with Stord’s Warehouse Excellence team to provide an unmatched customer experience
  • Assist the General Manager with all activity within the fulfillment center and provide vision, direction and scalable processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field highly preferred
  • At least 5-7 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • At least 4 years of supervisory experience required
  • Preferably experience in Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Prior experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS), material handling equipment and/or various storage systems
  • LEAN experience preferred
  • Food Grade experience preferred
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and develop mutually beneficial relationships with all partners
  • History of growing responsibilities within a warehouse/distribution environment
  • Ability to identify and understand problems, challenges and opportunities by analyzing and comparing data to reach a beneficial conclusion
  • Ability to influence change management and operational performance from areas outside of direct control
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and the general public
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies and contracts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
