About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare, review, submit, and track tax filings accurately, timely, and compliantly
Support end-to-end filing processes, including reconciliations, payments, notices, amendments, and quarter-end and year-end activities
Work across applicable federal, state, and local tax requirements
Research and resolve filing discrepancies, notices, client questions, and escalations
Partner with clients and internal payroll, client service, and compliance teams
Use tax filing systems and reporting tools to manage work and maintain accurate records
Document procedures and follow standard operating procedures
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
Support system testing, training, and implementation for new clients, workflows, or system updates
At Senior Analyst and Manager levels, provide subject matter guidance, coordinate work, and support client meetings
At Manager level, lead team operations, coach and develop colleagues, monitor performance, and drive quality and service improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience with end-to-end tax filing, including preparation or review, submission, and follow-through on filing issues
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and clear communication
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with tax or financial systems
U.S. payroll tax filing experience across federal, state, and local jurisdictions preferred
Experience in public accounting or another tax environment with broad filing responsibilities preferred
Client-facing experience preferred
Experience with tax filing software; MasterTax and ADP SmartCompliance preferred
Experience with quarterly and year-end filing processes, reconciliations, payments, notices, or amendments preferred
Advanced degree and/or certification in a related field preferred
Current and future work authorization in the United States without visa sponsorship by Strada
Successful completion of applicable background checks
