About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform network penetration testing
- Apply technical expertise across penetration testing, networking, firewalls, server administration, encryption, cloud, containers, databases, or software development
- Use open-source and commercial security tools to identify and assess security issues
- Analyze adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Configure and troubleshoot common security tools
- Work with UNIX-based and Microsoft operating systems
- Apply systems engineering expertise in at least one operating system environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five (5) years of professional-level experience in one or more technical disciplines, including Penetration Testing, Networking, Firewalls, Server Administration, Encryption, Cloud, Containers, Databases, or Software Development
- Hands-on, expert-level technical proficiency in at least one critical skill area, supported by relevant certifications
- Hold or be working toward multiple professional or associate-level certifications, such as CISSP, GCIH, MCSE, CCNP, RHCE, GPEN, GWAPT, OSCP, MPCE, or CEH
- Advanced understanding of adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Proficiency with multiple open-source and commercial security tools, including Nessus, Burp Suite, AppDetective, Metasploit, and NMAP
- Understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, configuration requirements, and troubleshooting needs of common security tools
- Strong proficiency with both UNIX-based and Microsoft operating systems
- Deep systems engineering experience in at least one of UNIX-based or Microsoft operating systems
- W2 employment arrangement
