About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and own the company’s comprehensive marketing strategy, operating plan, and budget aligned to pipeline and revenue goals
- Lead, motivate, develop, and grow a high-performing marketing team, setting clear goals, accountability structures, and career development paths
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CRO, CEO, and broader leadership team on go-to-market direction, positioning, and competitive differentiation
- Define key metrics to drive results and tune strategy
- Operate independently, set direction, make decisions, and drive execution
- Build and scale a data-driven demand generation engine generating qualified sales pipeline
- Design and execute integrated digital, content, event, social, and partner campaigns
- Own the full funnel from awareness through MQL nurturing and Sales handoff
- Use Salesforce, Pardot, and other tools for lead flows, campaign attribution, nurture programs, and pipeline reporting
- Develop content including white papers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, executive bylines, and video
- Cultivate executive thought leadership across industry forums and digital channels
- Incorporate AI tools, agents, and automation into marketing workflows, campaigns, and content production
- Evaluate and deploy AI-powered platforms for personalization, lead scoring, content generation, and campaign optimization
- Establish responsible and effective AI marketing playbooks
- Define KPI frameworks, build dashboards, and report on campaign performance, funnel health, and marketing ROI
- Optimize spend allocation and channel mix to maximize pipeline ROI
- Own brand identity, messaging architecture, and visual standards
- Develop LinkedIn social media strategy, including organic content, paid campaigns, employee advocacy, and executive profiles
- Manage Glassdoor presence and employer brand narrative
- Oversee website, SEO/SEM strategy, and digital presence
- Apply LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Ads, and social selling enablement
- Own strategy and execution for conferences, trade shows, industry events, and hosted events
- Manage sponsorships, speaking submissions, on-site logistics, executive presence, and event ROI
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive B2B Technology Services marketing experience, with a strong background in SaaS-aligned technology services firms, IT consulting, managed services, or a closely adjacent space
- Demonstrated experience leading the marketing function — or serving as a strong #2 — at a company of 200+ employees
- Hands-on proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC), Pardot, and LinkedIn tools; ability to manage integrations, lead routing, campaign attribution, and reporting directly
- Proven track record of building pipeline through integrated marketing programs with measurable, data-backed results
- Experience setting, tracking, and reporting on a comprehensive KPI framework that ties marketing to revenue outcomes
- Strong content marketing and thought leadership background, with experience overseeing content calendars, editorial strategy, and executive communications
- Sophisticated understanding of LinkedIn marketing — organic, paid, and employee advocacy — and employer branding platforms such as Glassdoor
- Experience managing and mentoring a marketing team, with a track record of developing talent and building strong team cultures
- Ability to work independently, set direction without being directed, and maintain accountability to senior leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Experience owning conference and event strategy, including budget management, vendor relationships, and post-event ROI analysis
- Willing to roll up sleeves and ‘do’ in addition to directing
- Great if past Higher Ed Services marketing experience and/or Cybersecurity Services marketing experience
