About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Teach assigned undergraduate/graduate Agentic AI courses using a pre-designed curriculum
Teach hybrid courses through in-person and asynchronous online modalities
Conduct 11 in-person meeting sessions of 2 hours every week at a predetermined time on a Strayer University campus
Maintain assigned office hours
Coach and mentor students and build a classroom community
Enhance curriculum effectiveness using technology and videos
Arrive on campus at least 30 minutes before in-person sessions
Use the online learning platform to enrich the online course component
Provide timely feedback and support through email, phone, text, and office hours
Establish academic standards and explain evaluation methods
Adhere to University policies and procedures
Attend required faculty meetings, workshops, and training

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science required
Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred
Preferred professional experience in Agentic AI
Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills
Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation
Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Effective time management skills
Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable)
Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s)
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor
Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required
Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant
Access information using a computer
Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain
Effectively cope with stressful situations
Strong mental acuity
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job
