About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Teach assigned undergraduate/graduate Marketing courses using a pre-designed curriculum
  • Teach in both in-person and asynchronous online modalities
  • Conduct 11 in-person meeting sessions, two hours each week, at the South Charlotte campus
  • Arrive on campus at least half an hour before in-person sessions
  • Enhance curriculum effectiveness using technology and videos
  • Use the online learning platform for the online course component
  • Provide timely student support and feedback through email, phone, text, and office hours
  • Establish evaluation standards and ensure students understand assessment criteria
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures
  • Attend required faculty meetings, workshops, and training
  • Coach and mentor students and build classroom community

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate in Marketing or any Doctorate degree with 27 doctorate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Marketing required, OR Doctorate in a Business-related discipline with a Master’s in marketing or any Master’s degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Marketing required
  • 5 years of professional experience in Marketing or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and overall computer skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation
  • Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing course objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s)
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Mobility within the office, including movement from floor to floor
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
