About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for an assigned portfolio of client accounts
  • Build trusted client relationships and keep clients informed
  • Attend and lead weekly client status calls
  • Capture actions, decisions, and next steps
  • Produce weekly status reports for clients and internal leadership
  • Track deliverables, deadlines, and account health
  • Manage and coordinate 1099 contractors across business development, production, market research, and technical writing
  • Assign work, set priorities, and enforce quality and deadlines
  • Own the client book and use-case architecture
  • Translate client missions and needs into appropriate scope and deliverables
  • Escalate and resolve client issues, involving leadership when needed
  • Coordinate delivery across the production layer
  • Partner with leadership on account strategy, renewals, and close
  • Direct the work of production analysts, technical writers, and assigned 1099 contractors
  • Report to the President

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years in account management, client success, project management, or a comparable client-facing operating role
  • Experience in government contracting required
  • Experience in professional services or a similar delivery environment strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage contractors or cross-functional contributors and keep multiple workstreams on schedule
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable leading client calls and writing clear status reports
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Calm and credible under pressure
  • Familiarity with state and local (SLED) procurement, contracts, or compliance is nice to have
  • Experience with business development support and non-traditional contracting practices (SBIRs, OTAs) is nice to have
  • Prior experience owning a book of accounts is nice to have
  • Availability aligned to client call schedules
  • Comfort with asynchronous hand-offs and clear written direction
  • Must be able to work with offshore production support
