About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Enterprise AI Security Program
  • Help ensure the safe and secure adoption of AI across internal chatbots, agentic workflows with tool access, code assistants, and agentic platforms
  • Assess new AI tools and protocols by analyzing their architecture, trust boundaries, and authentication models
  • Develop specific and testable security policies
  • Translate security policies into automated enforcement through policy-as-code, CI/CD gates, gateway-level controls, and DLP rules
  • Evaluate and address AI/LLM security risks, including prompt injection, unsafe outputs, tool-use abuse, data leakage, identity misuse, and agentic workflow escalation
  • Provide defensible security opinions on new tools, protocols, and frameworks within days
  • Turn vendor capability gaps and new tool risk profiles into implementable and testable control requirements
  • Discover and govern shadow-AI/BYOAI usage at scale
  • Support detection engineering, SIEM integration, and telemetry design for AI and agent behavior

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong software engineering experience, with 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Python (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years in AI/ML or GenAI security, or equivalent hands-on information security experience with a demonstrated pivot into AI security
  • Ability to write specific, testable security policy and translate it into automated enforcement, including policy-as-code, CI/CD gates, gateway-level controls, and DLP rules
  • Self-directed learning on fast-moving technical topics; ability to assess new tools, protocols, or frameworks, including architecture, trust boundaries, and authentication models
  • Working knowledge of AI/LLM security risks, including prompt injection, jailbreaking, unsafe outputs, tool-use abuse, identity misuse, and agentic workflow escalation
  • Hands-on familiarity with NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP LLM Top 10, and OWASP Agentic Top 10
  • Experience with cloud security across at least two of AWS, GCP, and Azure, including native AI/ML security tooling
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, and mTLS
  • Interest in or exposure to non-human/workload identity, including SPIFFE/SPIRE, and agent identity models
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as healthcare or financial services, with HIPAA or equivalent compliance obligations
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Preferred: direct experience with MCP or A2A protocol security, or AI gateway products
  • Preferred: exposure to AI-native runtime security platforms or classic content guardrail products
  • Preferred: familiarity with shadow-AI/BYOAI risk and discovery/governance tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Wiz, and CASB
  • Preferred: AI red-team tooling experience with PyRIT, Promptfoo, AgentDojo, or custom harnesses
  • Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft Purview DSPM for AI or equivalent DLP-for-AI tooling
  • Preferred: relevant certification such as CAISP or ISACA AAISM, or equivalent demonstrated skill
  • Preferred: experience with detection engineering, SIEM integration, and telemetry design for AI/agent behavior
