About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide the highest level of technical expertise within the service delivery department
Collaborate with project managers, solutions architects, and other project engineers
Identify and implement clients’ technical needs while assessing regulatory applicability and risk
Determine appropriate, compliant solutions to business problems
Partner with delivery areas to implement and support cloud solutions and trusted technology
Guide, support, and develop technical solutions for client and internal engagements
Mentor, train, and guide junior service delivery staff
Achieve 85% billable utilization
Maintain at least a 90% CSAT score on delivered projects
Create and maintain client information in the documentation system
Provide customer service and timely technical expertise on projects
Track project hours, actual versus scheduled hours, and billable-time percentage
Conduct network discoveries and client onboarding for new managed service clients
Identify, propose, design, and deliver infrastructure upgrades and projects
Resolve client technical issues with little or no escalation
Adhere to and improve service delivery procedures and security protocols
Stay current with technologies and pursue certifications
Document all time worked in the ticketing system
Participate in the on-call rotation
Travel as needed
Perform other duties as required by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 7+ years of experience within relevant IT fields
Strong experience in physical and virtual infrastructure, networking components, and Microsoft environments
Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT Service Provider; law firm experience a plus
Expertise configuring and managing network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VPN technologies
Expertise configuring and managing enterprise infrastructure, including Hyper-V or VMware (ESX/vCenter), virtual desktops, physical servers, and storage appliances
Expertise with Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Office365, Azure, SharePoint, Teams, and on-premises operating systems
Familiarity with Autotask PSA, Datto RMM and BCDR, BrightGauge, and Hudu
Familiarity with PowerShell and other scripting languages
Familiarity with security technologies, risk management, and frameworks or standards such as CIS, NIST, and SOC2
Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information sciences, or related IT fields preferred
Experience with Legal Technology such as iManage and NetDocuments a plus
Experience with virtual desktop, DaaS, or Windows PC
Current Microsoft and CISCO certifications a plus
