About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach assigned undergraduate/graduate Marketing courses in hybrid format
- Conduct 11 in-person meeting sessions, 2 hours weekly, at the South Charlotte campus
- Deliver the remaining course content asynchronously online
- Maintain assigned office hours
- Teach from a pre-designed curriculum using professional expertise
- Enhance curriculum effectiveness using technology and videos
- Arrive on campus at least half an hour before in-person sessions
- Use the online learning platform to enrich the online course component
- Provide timely student feedback via email, phone, text, and office hours
- Establish evaluation standards and explain them to students
- Adhere to University policies and procedures
- Attend required faculty meetings, workshops, and training
- Coach and mentor students and build classroom community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctorate in Marketing or any Doctorate degree with 27 doctorate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Marketing required, OR Doctorate in a Business-related discipline with a Master’s in marketing or any Master’s degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Marketing required
- 5 years of professional experience in Marketing or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and strong overall computer skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation
- Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing course objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s)
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Mobility within the office, including movement from floor to floor
- Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred
- Professional certification in discipline specialty, if applicable
