About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide high-quality instruction using a pre-designed curriculum
- Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees
- Provide relevant feedback to support successful completion
- Be available within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, by phone, email, and in the courseroom
- Travel within the US to participate in doctoral residencies
- Use the online learning platform to enrich the learning experience
- Establish high standards and explain evaluation criteria to learners
- Adhere to University policies and procedures
- Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training as required
- Participate in other activities based on university needs
- Accept ongoing assignments according to expertise and school needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must be willing and able to travel to and teach at residencies 3–4 times per year, with each residency lasting 4–12 days; selected candidates are expected to participate in at least half of these events
- Strong knowledge of academic evaluation
- Oral presentation, planning, and course-objective organization skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of academic technology
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to manage potentially stressful situations professionally and ethically
- Professional experience in the discipline: minimum of two years for undergraduate level and three years for graduate level
- Research, scholarship, or achievement in the discipline required for graduate-level teaching
- Doctoral-level experience conducting and overseeing research in the discipline
- School Psychology applicants: Ed.D., Ph.D., or Psy.D. from a regionally accredited institution
- School Psychology applicants: NCSP (National Certification in School Psychology) required
- Clinical Psychology applicants: Ed.D., Ph.D., or Psy.D. from a regionally accredited institution
- Clinical Psychology applicants: Active license as a Clinical Psychologist required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
- Must be able to access information using a computer
- Must be able to meet critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication requirements aligned to job duties
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant
