About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run moderation onboarding end-to-end, including kickoff, policy design, configuration, testing, and go-live
- Translate customer community guidelines into policies, harm categories, thresholds, blocklists, and automated actions
- Partner with customer engineering teams on integration questions, webhook setup, and moderation events
- Set go-live criteria and manage timelines and open items
- Review flagged and missed content and diagnose false positives and false negatives
- Adjust configuration to improve precision and recall
- Investigate moderation escalations and drive issues to root cause with engineering
- Turn account patterns into product feedback and advocate for product changes
- Train moderators and Trust & Safety leads on the review queue, dashboard, rule builder, and reporting
- Create onboarding playbooks, configuration templates, best-practice guides, tuning checklists, and internal runbooks
- Support renewals and expansion through business reviews, usage narratives, and customer outcomes
- Work with Sales and Solutions Engineering on late-stage deals, pilots, and proof-of-concepts
- Feed the product roadmap with prioritized, evidence-backed customer needs
- Document processes to help scale the customer function and accelerate new-hire ramp-up
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years in a customer-facing role at a technical or SaaS company
- Experience in customer success, implementation, solutions consulting, technical account management, professional services, or Trust & Safety operations with external stakeholders
- Comfortable being technical without being an engineer
- Strong project management instincts
- Ability to run several onboardings at once and track their status
- Analytical approach and ability to evaluate performance with data
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to review difficult content, including harassment, hate speech, NSFW imagery, and similar material
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Boulder, CO area
- Willingness to work 3 days per week in the Boulder office
- Nice to have: direct Trust & Safety, content moderation, or community operations experience
- Nice to have: familiarity with policy taxonomies, harm categories, precision/recall tradeoffs, appeals, and CSAM reporting obligations
- Nice to have: working knowledge of DSA, OSA, COPPA, and EU AI Act
- Nice to have: experience with chat, social, gaming, marketplace, or dating platforms
- Nice to have: experience building enablement content or customer-facing documentation from scratch
