Elementary School Administrator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct and coordinate educational, administrative, and counseling activities for students
- Ensure educational programs conform to state and local school board standards
- Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed
- Manage teaching and administrative staff, including Master and Lead Teachers and programs
- Articulate the school's mission and vision and align stakeholders toward desired results
- Use communication technologies to support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment
- Confer with teachers, students, and parents about educational and behavioral problems
- Coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals
- Ensure the school meets student needs while complying with local, state, and federal laws, including special education requirements
- Develop and oversee implementation of the school's Academic Improvement Plan
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tennessee Principal Certification required
- Master's degree in business, education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years of educational experience
- One year of supervisory experience
- Ability to clear required background check
- Demonstrable leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Web proficiency
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
- Experience as an online/virtual educator
- State license as a school administrator
- Strong preference for candidates residing in Tennessee; candidates in surrounding states may be considered: Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana
