About the role

  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures
  • Coordinate testing readiness and assist with attendance and progress issues
  • Prepare regular reports and facilitate communications
  • Assist with marketing events
  • Develop and implement data-driven program design and professional learning activities
  • Collaborate with peers and others to achieve school performance goals
  • Serve as liaison between parents, teachers, and the school administrative team
  • Present and lead department/team meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • North Carolina High School Teaching Certification Required
  • Must reside in North Carolina
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field AND three (3) years of successful teaching experience including experience as a virtual teacher, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to pass required background check
  • Knowledge of state and charter school law and regulations
  • Knowledge of State Performance Standards
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn specific student management systems
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for training, professional development, meetings, and other work requirements
  • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
  • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9-5 or 8-4, or as defined by the school
