About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support school administrators by processing requests for new enrollments and withdrawals
- Request and track records for newly enrolled students
- Prepare mass data imports for new students within prescribed time frames
- Process student withdrawals and fulfill records requests for withdrawn students
- Process parent contact and data information changes
- Maintain K12 and state student-level databases, including data entry
- Create customized reports for various departments
- Create and maintain student cumulative files and other student records
- Audit records for accuracy at least annually
- Establish and maintain secure access to student records
- Ensure proper disposal of student records
- Maintain and scan received files
- Serve as primary point of contact for families, teachers, staff, and other schools regarding student information and records
- Ensure school personnel comply with FERPA
- Potentially supervise temporary staff or records support staff
- Perform routine administrative duties and facilitate communications with stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using search engines (internet) for research
- Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
- Detail oriented and able to identify errors in student data and information
- Ability to multi-task and complete tasks quickly and accurately
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to communicate professionally and tactfully through all communications
- Flexible, team-player; adapts to changing office environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; familiarity with ability to enter and retrieve information
- Candidates must reside in Ohio or within 50 miles of the Ohio border
