About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute Strider’s global corporate communications strategy
  • Own and evolve Strider’s corporate narrative, messaging architecture, and key messages
  • Lead communications for announcements, partnerships, milestones, organizational changes, and market expansion
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Intelligence, Product, People Operations, and other teams on a cohesive company story
  • Anticipate reputational issues and lead sensitive or crisis communications planning
  • Establish communications processes, measurement practices, and operating rhythms
  • Advise the CEO and senior leadership team on communications
  • Develop executive messaging, presentations, speeches, bylined articles, social content, and media preparation materials
  • Build thought leadership programs on strategic intelligence, technology, security, and geopolitical risk
  • Partner with the Intelligence team to turn research into reports and thought leadership
  • Lead editorial strategy and content direction for the Strider blog
  • Support company events through agenda development, executive messaging, and speaker preparation
  • Lead media strategy and journalist relationships with the external PR agency
  • Serve as a company spokesperson and oversee media inquiries, press releases, statements, and briefing materials
  • Develop analyst relations strategy and oversee the analyst relations program
  • Lead and develop the communications team
  • Create global communications frameworks, guidance, and tools for regional teams
  • Manage the external PR agency and other communications partners
  • Adapt communications for audiences in the United States, United Kingdom, and EMEA while supporting growth in Japan and Australia
  • Partner with People Operations on internal communications and organizational change

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, or a related field
  • Experience leading communications programs for a growing organization
  • Experience developing corporate narratives and translating complex business, technology, security, intelligence, or industry topics into compelling communications
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills across executive communications, media materials, presentations, thought leadership, and long-form content
  • Demonstrated media relations experience, including proactive media engagement, spokesperson preparation, and communications for sensitive or high-profile issues
  • Experience advising executives and senior leaders on communications strategy, messaging, thought leadership, and external positioning
  • Experience building communications processes, frameworks, and measurement practices
  • Experience connecting communications strategy to business and commercial objectives
  • Experience leading and developing communications teams and managing agencies or external partners
  • Experience in national security, geopolitical risk, strategic intelligence, cybersecurity, defense, technology, or another complex or highly regulated industry preferred
  • Experience leading communications across multiple global markets preferred
  • Experience building or scaling a corporate communications function preferred
  • Experience developing or overseeing analyst relations programs preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred
