About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Bridge’s commercial team and lead negotiations for complex and strategic user and partner agreements
- Advise on commercial and legal issues arising from stablecoin products, new product launches, and international expansion
- Work with Product Legal and Bridge’s product and engineering teams to bring new products and features to market
- Build Bridge’s commercial legal infrastructure, including drafting and maintaining agreements and playbooks, improving internal processes, and using AI tooling
- Partner with commercial, operations, product, engineering, tax, compliance, and risk teams across Bridge and Stripe globally
- Provide practical, scalable legal support across the global Commercial Legal team
- Develop and deliver training and resources for Bridge’s commercial team
- Serve as a point of escalation for outside counsel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving ability in complex, fast-evolving products and industries
- Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive win-win solutions
- Familiarity with legal issues and commercial risks arising from fintech, stablecoin, hosted data, and technology services
- Good standing membership in at least one US state bar
- JD degree or foreign equivalent
- 8+ years of relevant experience in-house or in a technology practice group at a top law firm
- Preferred: experience in payments, fintech, crypto, or stablecoin businesses and associated regulatory issues
- Preferred: in-house experience advising high-growth companies
- Preferred: working knowledge of LLM tools
- Preferred: experience improving legal processes with AI technology
- Preferred: working knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA
