About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide customers with technical support and services related to digital cinema equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, servers, and power supplies
- Provide demand service for customers and determine and execute support plans
- Test electronic assemblies, components, and parts using diagnostic equipment including ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, color meters, resistance bridges, oscilloscopes, and automated or computerized test equipment
- Examine equipment and assemblies for defects and replace defective components
- Repair equipment and perform field testing
- Resolve firmware and software issues
- Direct investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products
- Record and analyze production quality information and report customer complaint and claim status to appropriate personnel and sales departments
- Install electronic or digital equipment and test installations
- Record daily activities in Field Point, including work descriptions, expenses, hours, labor, and travel
- Take ownership and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with electronics related to the Pro-Av market
- Familiarity with computer and networking concepts and architecture
- Experience with digital cinema equipment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Valid, state issued driver’s license
- Ability to stand, sit, squat and bend for a period of time
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
- Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
- Willingness to travel in and out of market up to 70–80% of the time
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and on-call
