About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead complex, end-to-end process improvement and operational excellence programmes across Stryker’s European logistics and distribution network
Design future-state operating models, facility concepts, process architectures and engineering standards
Evaluate and implement warehouse automation, robotics, material handling systems, RFID, Internet of Things technologies and advanced visibility solutions
Apply advanced analytics, simulation modelling, digital twins, artificial intelligence and real-time monitoring
Develop operational key performance indicators, dashboards and governance frameworks
Build technical and financial business cases for strategic logistics investments
Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation with Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Digital and external partners
Provide technical leadership in logistics engineering and operational excellence
Mentor engineers and business leaders and communicate complex recommendations to stakeholders across organisational levels

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Life Sciences or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, logistics, operations or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience within complex manufacturing, distribution, logistics or supply chain environments
Experience leading large-scale operational excellence, process engineering or transformation initiatives
Experience leading automation, digitalisation, systems implementation or advanced analytics initiatives
Experience working within regulated environments governed by standards such as FDA, ISO or equivalent
Formal training and practical experience in Lean, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma or an equivalent continuous improvement methodology
Fluency in English
Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline
Preferred: APICS, ASCM, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent professional certification
Preferred: Experience within the medical device, healthcare or another highly regulated industry
Preferred: Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as Oracle or SAP
Preferred: Fluency in an additional European language
Travel Percentage: 20%
