About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the Joint Replacement business through the North East region in the UK
  • Manage the sales area, employee leadership, sales/turnover and costs
  • Exceed quarterly and yearly business budgets while managing instrument utilisation, recurring revenue pipeline development and forecasting
  • Lead, motivate, coach and develop a high-performing sales and service team
  • Mentor new hires on clinical, sales and marketing skills, procedural workflow, daily activities and role responsibilities
  • Provide basic Mako platform training, including instrumentation, implants and procedural consumables
  • Register Mako Product Specialists for application training courses in the UK and Amsterdam
  • Support internal launches and staff training at new Mako installation sites
  • Coordinate scheduled case coverage across the defined geography and Mako Product Specialist team
  • Collaborate with Mako teams in Europe and the USA to ensure case coverage
  • Develop plans with hospital staff, customer marketing and surgeons to increase implant and procedural volume
  • Collaborate with contracts and pricing, compliance, customer service and accounting teams to maintain the order-to-cash process
  • Build local clinical champions for current and future technology platforms
  • Use market dynamics and creative business development to accelerate current and future technologies
  • Maintain exceptional customer service levels
  • Report to the Business Unit Manager, Joint Replacement, North UK

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences/economics
  • Verifiable successful sales and/or marketing experience
  • Experience in team leadership
  • Ideally product knowledge in Joint Replacement & Robotics segments
  • Anatomical proficiency
  • Economic knowledge
  • Commercial skills in leading a profit centre
  • Knowledge of a CRM system
  • Knowledge of an ERP system
  • Computer skills, MS Office
  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media
