About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for general accounting processes and provide guidance to new and existing team members
  • Perform complex accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, cash accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis
  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation
  • Coordinate closing activities and other key accounting deliverables with the Supervisor or Lead Analyst
  • Execute assigned Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and support internal and external audit requirements
  • Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Partner with local accounting teams and markets to investigate discrepancies, resolve accounting issues and queries, and escalate matters when required
  • Support migration of accounting processes across countries in scope and create and maintain related process and procedure documentation
  • Identify root causes of accounting issues and opportunities to simplify, standardize, or improve accounting processes and operational efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance or general accounting
  • Experience with journal entry processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, fixed assets, or related general accounting activities
  • English proficiency at B2 level
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, and formulas
  • Preferred: Experience working in a shared services environment or within a large, global, or multinational organization
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
  • Preferred: Experience using SAP or JD Edwards
  • Ability to travel 10%
