About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather and collate competitive information to drive insights
- Anticipate customer and patient needs and create a superior value proposition
- Obtain insights by leveraging key opinion leaders
- Understand customers and optimize the value proposition
- Analyze market research validity and reliability, statistical significance, and basic hypothesis testing
- Use and interpret qualitative and quantitative research
- Use market research and third-party data to identify industry trends
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to lead the new product development process
- Build financial business case models for new product development funding and product ROI
- Deliver business and marketing objectives and lead discovery for the pre-commercialization plan
- Support new product development and launch planning
- Partner with Clinical Affairs on evidence-generation research objectives
- Partner with Product Marketing on publication and messaging strategy
- Analyze customer acquisition and retention costs
- Evaluate market potential, customer segments, volume opportunities, and financial tradeoffs
- Lead development of sales tools and channel communications
- Forecast sales trends and research forecasting variables
- Execute product lifecycle management plans
- Develop supply-chain interruption contingency plans
- Create and communicate value propositions
- Develop pricing aligned with marketing strategy and brand positioning
- Develop marketing channels and tools
- Define performance criteria for evaluating business trends and activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6+ years of work experience required
- MBA preferred
- 3+ years medical device or marketing experience preferred
- Upstream marketing experience preferred
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills preferred
- Ability to travel 30%
