About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the sales process by providing technical expertise, assisting with product demonstrations, and preparing proposals
  • Work closely with senior engineers and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Identify opportunities for Retrofit and upgrade projects and drive them through to timely delivery of order intake
  • Act as main point of contact and technical consultant to sales teams or end users/customers for Retrofit enquiries and related activities
  • Support development of the overall regional strategy plan, sales plan, and continuous improvement projects
  • Develop account/region plans to deliver growth of Retrofit opportunities in the allocated sales territory
  • Drive initiatives to identify retrofit opportunities through technical forums, health checks, asset reviews, customer visits, and internal training sessions
  • Support the Rolling Forecast process in collaboration with regional sales and service managers/directors
  • Build and manage client relationships and use the customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, technologies, and customer strategies
  • Produce and review proposals and support the overall proposal process
  • Ensure effective handover meetings and documentation for transition from pre- to post-order status
  • Attend sales meetings and provide relevant area information to the sales team
  • Promote Retrofits through social media and other peer platforms internally and externally
  • Adhere to company, department, EHS, safety, health, environmental, and quality policies
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 4 Years of relevant experience within pump industry
  • Relevant experience within related industry – Upstream, Refining, Petrochemical, Pipeline & Power
  • Experience of executing and building strategies
  • Experience of technical / consultive selling
  • Knowledge of pump design, application, and selection
  • Knowledge of general pump upgrades
  • Technical report and proposal writing skills
  • Must have good organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Must have valid driver’s license and passport and be able to travel internationally
  • Strong Communication and negotiating skills
  • 25%-50% travel
