About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review FDAs for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer agreements, tariffs, and instructions
- Verify supplier invoices, supporting documents, and associated costs
- Identify discrepancies, raise queries with Local Port Agents, and ensure timely resolution
- Validate exchange rates, taxes, revenues, and other port-related charges before customer submission
- Complete quality control checkpoints before FDA dispatch
- Act as primary point of contact for FDA-related customer queries
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes, documentation requests, and settlement concerns
- Liaise with Local Port Agents, Operators, Finance teams, and customers
- Process assigned FDAs within agreed turnaround times and service level agreements
- Monitor workflow queues and manage priorities
- Maintain accurate records in Optic and associated operational systems
- Support audit requests and adhere to internal controls and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization
- Participate in projects, UATs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to SOPs, work instructions, and knowledge repositories
- Share best practices and lessons learned across the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree educated at minimum bachelor’s level
- Experience in Ship and Port agency related field
- Experience working in a shared service centre environment
- Knowledge of the shipping industry
- Understanding of port agency operations and shipping documentation
- Knowledge of PDA/FDA processes
- Financial reconciliation and invoice validation skills
- Working knowledge of in-house and MS Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ready to work in flexible timings as per business requirement
- Satisfactory references
- Valid Right to Work documentation depending upon geographical location
