About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze system applications and business requirements
  • Review end-to-end business requirements, system/application design, integrations, and functionality
  • Review enterprise and solution architectures and design implementation of new features across frontend, backend, database, middleware, AWS, and DevOps
  • Contribute to test plans and strategies; develop test scenarios and cases; collect test data; create test batches; execute tests; report and track defects
  • Partner with automation engineers to create a unified automation approach
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts, utilities, and datasets using commercial and open-source tools
  • Participate in meetings, Scrums, and inter-team interactions
  • Research and recommend new automation technologies
  • Work with support, stakeholders, and developers to reproduce software defects
  • Provide guidance on test design and implementation techniques
  • Automate defect testing and maintain the regression test suite
  • Create, deliver, and maintain automated scripts
  • Prepare testing effort estimates and status reports for stakeholders
  • Propose, follow, and develop SOPs for test execution
  • Apply DevOps with an automation-first mindset, including branching strategies, version control, configuration, testing practices, build management, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Any Professional degree in computer science
  • Ability to quickly understand business processes
  • Knowledge of accessibility, acceptance, black box, end-to-end, functional, non-functional, feature, interactive, integration, load, performance, regression, sanity, and security testing
  • Technical knowledge of SQL, C#.NET, Webservices (XML, SOAP, HTTP, REST API), REST Sharp, and AWS Cloud
  • Experience with TestRail, XUnit, Selenium, Sonar Cloud, Appium, Postman, SoapUI, and Rest-assured
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development methodology
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • DevOps tools knowledge including Bitbucket/GitHub, Sonar Cube, Team City, and Selenium
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Agile development methodologies
  • DevOps mindset and Live site first approach
  • 5–8 years in software testing and quality assurance, including manual and automation testing
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios and automating testing for software products
  • Experience building object repositories within test automation environments
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automated testing environment
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies
  • Experience assessing and developing test automation frameworks
  • Exposure to object-oriented programming and C#
  • Prior experience with automated testing tools, especially Selenium
  • Experience using defect management tools
  • Desirable experience in performance testing, security testing, and Test Driven Delivery
  • Valid Right to Work documentation, depending on geographical location
  • Satisfactory references
