About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct equipment operator certification training and general safety training for customers and, to a lesser extent, employees using instructor-led and virtual training
Publish public training class schedules on SBR’s training platform on a 3-month rolling calendar basis
Provide private classes at SBR branch locations or customer sites
Complete training records in company systems of record
Trigger issuance of customer wallet cards within 24 hours of class completion
Learn new adult training methods and courses across safety topics
Maintain current training and equipment operator certifications
Provide Train the Trainer courses for customers
Optimize productivity by maximizing class attendance and scheduling
Sell and support sales teams in closing safety training opportunities and growing the Safety Training business
Work with Marketing Support to create flyers and sales materials
Coach and mentor Certified Evaluators
Provide equipment practical evaluations to customers completing online coursework and written exams
Assist District and Regional Managers with onboarding and training new trainers and Certified Evaluators
Advise Sunbelt employees and customers on safety issues and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of work experience in a related field
Heavy equipment experience and certification (MEWP, Forklift, Earth Moving)
Broad knowledge of industry safety standards, practices, and regulations
Experience and knowledge of adult learning methods
Dependable, organized, motivated, and self-starter
Customer-service and ‘solutions’ oriented
Ability and willingness to travel; overnight travel may be required (10%-15%)
Proficiency in MS Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job
All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines
Preferred bilingual in Spanish or French
Preferred experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
