About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the creation and operational implementation of all accessibility accommodations for Festival guests
- Lead the frontline Accessibility team of contractors, staff, and volunteers, including scheduling, role implementation, onboarding, and coaching
- Train and supervise the Festival Coordinator handling accessibility requests, inquiries, concerns, and feedback through the hotline and email
- Coach staff, volunteers, and service providers on Institute standards, expectations, and best practices for live events
- Serve as primary point of contact for Festival partners, providing guidance, reference materials, and introductions to local service providers
- Build structure and scope around communication services
- Manage relationships with ASL and CART vendors, including rate negotiation
- Support operational budget management, expense balancing, and invoice processing
- De-escalate interpersonal conflicts and address unexpected accommodation breakdowns at official Festival venues in real time
- Assess programmatic barriers and create department-specific operating procedures
- Complete a comprehensive wrap report reviewing improvement areas and successful practices
- Work with the Manager, Accessibility on various accessibility projects as directed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging or transferable
- Understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and event accessibility
- Communication skills required to work effectively with a variety of people and communication styles
- Experience working with people with disabilities, coordinating American Sign Language/Communication Access Realtime Translation vendors, and implementing environmental accommodations is preferred
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage and prioritize to meet simultaneous deadlines
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of MVR background check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from Monday, October 26, 2026 to Friday, February 12, 2027
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and respond to on-call needs as assigned
