About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, service, operations and maintenance, engineering, supply, and technology agreements
- Conduct legal contract analyses, assessing risks, liabilities, guarantees, penalties, insurance, and commercial terms
- Manage claims and contractual demands, including breaches, notices, counter-notices, and negotiations with suppliers and service providers
- Analyze and negotiate requests for economic and financial rebalancing, adjustments, extensions, and contract terminations
- Support the imposition of penalties and deductions, as well as the enforcement of contractual guarantees
- Lead negotiations and support the out-of-court resolution of disputes
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks related to operations and contractual relationships
- Monitor contractual obligations, expiration dates, renewals, and critical deadlines
- Provide legal support to Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and other teams involved in asset management
- Develop and improve contract templates, legal controls, and procedures
- Recommend improvements and implement technology, automation, and Artificial Intelligence solutions to increase the productivity and efficiency of legal processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Strong experience in Civil, Contract, and Corporate Law
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and service agreements
- Experience managing contractual risks, extrajudicial notices, and dispute resolution
- Knowledge of claims management, contractual demands, penalties, and guarantees
- Ability to independently lead negotiations and handle complex legal matters
- Excellent communication, legal reasoning, and analytical skills
- Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Postgraduate qualification in Contract Law, Corporate Law, Energy Law, or Infrastructure Law
- Experience working in infrastructure, energy, or engineering companies
- Knowledge of operations and maintenance, engineering, and construction agreements
- Familiarity with the electricity sector, particularly distributed generation and photovoltaic plants
- Experience with insurance, contractual guarantees, and claims handling regulations
- Knowledge of the investment fund market and asset management
- English proficiency for reading and interpreting contracts
- Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence and automation tools applied to legal work
