About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, schedule, and complete service and warranty-related work
  • Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule
  • Allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager
  • Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians
  • Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices
  • Support onboarding and training of new field performance team members
  • Exceed field performance KPIs, including turnaround time, experience rating, and average dispatches completed
  • Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned
  • Interact with customers, the Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and centralized scheduling Field Service Team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required
  • High School diploma is required
  • PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a driving background check
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license may be required depending on state requirements; preferred otherwise
  • Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards
  • Ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter
  • Working knowledge of electrical principles, solar interconnection/tie-in, PV system operation, and basic construction principles
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance, rooftop work, ladder climbing, outdoor work, confined-space work, and use of safety equipment
