About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead go-to-market for Emmy, PSI's physics engine
- Define how PSI positions a new category of capability
- Design commercial structures aligned with the value PSI creates
- Lead significant strategic engagements from first executive meeting through signed agreement
- Translate Emmy's capabilities into clear offers for executive buyers across data center, hyperscaler, energy and infrastructure segments
- Define offers for each customer segment and project stage
- Own the executive narrative, proposals and demonstration strategy
- Collaborate with research and applied AI leadership to align sales with the technical roadmap and delivery capabilities
- Bring customer insight into product and research priorities
- Own pricing strategy and commercial frameworks
- Refine and standardize outcome-based pricing across segments
- Design structures including design fees, performance-based agreements, IP licensing, government contracts, strategic partnerships and joint ventures
- Build economic models for proposals
- Build stakeholder consensus across executive sponsors, budget owners, engineering leads, tenants, lenders and partners
- Lead negotiations and manage long, multi-party decision cycles
- Partner with founders, board and advisors on strategic relationships
- Expand successful engagements into multi-phase and multi-site programs
- Build the commercial operating system for repeatable selling
- Establish opportunity qualification, stage criteria, pipeline management, forecasting, proposal and contract standards, and deal review
- Create a structured handoff into the COO's engagement process
- Establish commercial metrics and reporting for the CEO and board
- Build and lead a small, senior commercial team
- Finalize pricing and contract frameworks
- Convert executive relationships into signed, multi-phase engagements
- Develop strategic partnerships beyond data center design and operations
- Define the commercial team structure and make initial hires
- Report to the CEO and partner closely with the COO
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ten or more years in enterprise sales, business development or corporate development
- Personally led and closed multiple eight-figure B2B agreements
- Experience bringing a novel, technically complex offering to market where the value proposition had to be established with the buyer
- Experience structuring outcome-based, risk-sharing, licensing or partnership agreements
- Experience building financial models for commercial agreements
- Experience scaling a commercial function from founder-led selling to a repeatable, well-governed process
- Trusted counterpart to C-suite executives, boards and investors
- Comfortable in engineering and capital-planning conversations about power, cooling, capacity and capital budgets
- Uses frontier models and agents in their own work
- Established relationships with data center developers, operators, hyperscalers, or energy and utility companies (preferred)
- Experience with infrastructure or project finance, including lender and independent-engineer due diligence (preferred)
- Experience with federal contracting (preferred)
- Background in a technical, forward-deployed commercial model (preferred)
- Willingness to relocate to Boston
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; export-control-related responsibilities may carry citizenship or immigration restrictions
