About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, configure, test, and maintain Epic Inpatient Orders and other assigned clinical applications
  • Support application optimization, enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and ongoing production support
  • Troubleshoot complex application and workflow issues and partner with technical teams to resolve system and integration issues
  • Lead medium to large application projects from planning through implementation and go-live
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to improve patient care and efficiency
  • Provide end-user and at-the-elbow support during go-lives, upgrades, and major system changes
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, testing plans, and project materials
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours support as needed
  • Mentor junior analysts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Epic ambulatory certification required
  • Epic Inpatient Orders certification strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of Epic/Application Analyst experience
  • Hands-on experience with Epic clinical application build, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Experience supporting healthcare workflows and partnering with clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with Epic Ambulatory, Clinical Documentation, or other Epic clinical applications
  • Acute care healthcare experience
  • Experience leading application projects, implementations, upgrades, and go-lives
  • Background in clinical informatics, physician/nursing workflows, or hospital operations
