About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Sales in technical fields of server system business practices
- Define and develop localized/customized server products and drive them to mass production and sustaining support
- Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) of standard server systems or ODM models
- Solicit and collect new requirements for Supermicro server products
- Leverage existing resources and coordinate customization of ODM products to meet customer development schedules
- Lead cross-functional teams for sustaining support, including production issues, RMA, failure analysis, and ECO implementations
- Provide documentation and technical know-how to support server/OEM system production lines
- Conduct regular product promotion and training
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS/MS EE, CE, CS, or other engineering fields
- 6+ years of server technology related experience
- Experience configuring server systems or OEM business for electronic appliances
- Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Work experience with other contract manufacturers is a plus
- Ability to work independently with customers and collaborate with colleagues as a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal design teams and customers regarding technical and quality issues during development and production
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills
- Strong disciplinary attitude to target issue fixes in time
- Experience with Bash scripting
- Familiarity with Linux
