About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Port and bring up Intel, AMD, and ARM server platforms on the OpenBMC codebase
- Support OpenBMC platform enablement, including device tree/HW configuration, driver integration, and boot-up validation
- Perform BMC firmware development, debugging, testing, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain IPMI and Redfish APIs for RoT-related features
- Collaborate with EE/hardware engineers on new platform bring-up, hardware validation, and issue resolution
- Support build system, CI, and release activities related to OpenBMC/Yocto-based BMC firmware
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred; Master's degree strongly desirable
- 3+ years of embedded/BMC firmware development experience
- Hands-on experience with OpenBMC, platform porting/bring-up, and Linux/C/C++ development
- Knowledge of IPMI, Redfish, and server platform architecture
- Strong debugging, testing, and cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with Intel, AMD, and/or ARM server platforms preferred
- Familiarity with one or more software or hardware protocols preferred, such as I3C, I2C, USB, UART, PECI, MCTP, PLDM, SSIF, and PMBus
- Linux driver development experience is a plus
