About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance software for AI networking products spanning Supermicro switches and NVIDIA/AMD GPU server fabrics
  • Own end-to-end technical design of on-switch agent software and integrated management services, including APIs, data models, deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Lead customer technical engagements involving design, coding, bring-up, performance tuning, failure analysis, and production hardening
  • Improve performance, reliability, and debuggability across AI clusters through telemetry, metrics, and automated diagnostics
  • Architect ASIC-level and platform telemetry pipelines from switch silicon through fabric-wide analytics
  • Define structures, labels, and enrichment for telemetry, counters, logs, and events used by AI agents and diagnostic workflows
  • Partner with Product Management, program management, and cross-functional teams to turn customer and market requirements into technical roadmaps
  • Establish engineering standards for design and code review, testing, documentation, and operational readiness
  • Mentor engineers and expand team expertise in network operating systems, switch software, and fabric-scale diagnostics
  • Evaluate new technologies and AI-assisted approaches to improve development efficiency, diagnostics, and operational workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including technical leadership across complex systems
  • Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and management protocols
  • Experience with network operating systems such as SONiC and switching platforms such as Broadcom or Marvell
  • Proficiency in Go and Python; C/C++ is a plus
  • Experience debugging across firmware, driver, OS, and application layers
  • Experience in high-performance networking and system-level debugging, including packet drops, retransmissions, congestion, QoS, ordering, telemetry, and buffer management
  • Hands-on experience with switch ASICs, ideally Broadcom (BCM), and abstraction or SDK layers such as SAI, syncd, or vendor SDKs
  • Experience with ASIC counters, resource tables, and silicon-level debugging
  • Strong background in network telemetry, including gNMI, gNOI, OpenConfig, sFlow, IPFIX, or in-band telemetry
  • Experience designing datasets for machine consumption
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM agent integration is a strong advantage
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, containers, and REST API design
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and self-management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements
  • RDMA, RoCE, VXLAN, GPU cluster fabrics, or network controller software expertise is an added advantage
  • Nice to have: Docker, Ansible, Git, Redis, Prometheus/Grafana, and AI agent frameworks
