About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support revenue growth with all Federal customers
- Architect solutions and present them to expand direct and indirect Federal account penetration and loyalty
- Work with sales and extended teams to map end-user customer business and partner requirements and provide optimized technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership in pre-sales and oversee solution implementation
- Engage effectively with C-level technical customers and build and maintain trust
- Solve highly technical problems involving system architecture and hardware/software interaction
- Apply hardware architecture understanding and debugging skills
- Manage and lead teams during field problem investigations and resolution
- Analyze interactions among firmware, drivers, operating systems, and applications that can cause system issues
- Develop and review system solutions, technical RFI/RFP responses, and presentations
- Work cross-departmentally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution
- Build and demonstrate proof-of-concept solutions meeting or exceeding customer business needs
- Present the corporate brand, product messaging, and solutions to customers
- Visit on-site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution
- Travel as required, up to 25%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering preferred
- Experience supporting and proposing solutions for State or Federal entities and third-party partners
- Minimum 8 years of related experience with Compute/Storage Server, Data Center, or IT Infrastructure experience desired
- Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture
- Solid hardware system understanding and diagnostics skills
- Familiarity with firmware, Linux, Windows, virtualization, storage, GPUs, AI/ML, Liquid Cooling, and data center operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and business sense
- Strong technical communication and leadership skills to drive investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines
- Ability to work effectively and independently in high-pressure environments
- TS/SCI clearance not required; willingness to potentially go through that process in the future is a plus
