Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete assigned projects from development through end of life
  • Create schematics, check layouts, conduct component surveys, and study specifications and datasheets
  • Perform motherboard and system bring-up
  • Fix bugs and analyze customer issues
  • Support colleagues' projects
  • Design high-speed PCB circuits for Intel, ARM, and AMD servers
  • Design high-speed PCB circuits for high-bandwidth network switching products and PCIe interfaces
  • Participate in project specification discussions with PM, ME, Thermal, and BIOS teams
  • Debug circuits using a digital scope
  • Collaborate with validation, BIOS, firmware, and software teams to solve issues
  • Ensure products conform to engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer performance expectations
  • Transfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation
  • Help C.M. and technical support solve problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred
  • Master's degree is strongly desirable
  • Minimum 10~12 years of experience working with x86 server motherboards is a necessity
  • In-depth knowledge of circuit design (digital, analog, power) and PCB layout
  • Prior experience with motherboard design in enterprise networking servers is strongly desired
  • Strong communication, written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to cowork closely with cross-functional teams effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving capability
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with OrCAD for circuit design
  • Knowledge of Allegro layout tool and ability to utilize it
  • Ability to debug circuits with a digital scope
  • Ability to work with validation, BIOS, firmware, and software teams
