About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead product design, review, and validation of server power supplies and related products
  • Design schematics, generate BOMs, debug, and test power supplies
  • Research, analyze, and recommend new power supply design approaches
  • Plan projects, manage schedules, meet time-to-market targets, reduce costs, and improve product quality
  • Evaluate high-efficiency and compact power supply designs and recommend modifications or enhancements
  • Collaborate with system and lab validation engineers to resolve design, signal integrity, and quality issues
  • Create and review technical documentation, including product specifications, layout instructions, and test procedures
  • Support other teams and FAE with technical support and perform failure analysis
  • Support sales in resolving customer problems
  • Provide technical support to the Power Supply Product Manager
  • Evaluate and debug design prototypes on the bench and generate detailed engineering reports
  • Work cross-departmentally and assist product managers in product design and development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSEE/MSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of direct experience with AC to DC server power supply design
  • 5+ years power supply design experience in resonant/redundant power supply is desired
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High power density (30W~60W/cubic inch) design experience is desired
  • Familiarity with PSIM, PSPICE, Mathcad, Matlab, and I2C or PMbus interfaces
  • Professional expertise in power supply circuit analysis, simulation, and debugging
  • Comprehensive knowledge of new power devices
  • Experience in high-power transformer design
  • Experience with DFM and FMEA for power supply manufacturing or design is desired
