About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and develop application benchmarks based on enterprise computing requirements and generic server architecture, including HammerDB, MySQL, RDMA, NVDIMM, and NVMe
Execute benchmark testing and build proofs of concept using data center technologies and Supermicro server products such as SuperServers
Work with product managers and system engineers to draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry events
Learn and research new technologies and products to propose new proofs of concept
Work with sales and customers to provide networking solutions and technical knowledge
Lead technical collateral development for in-house server system products
Define and implement current data center and server technologies
Create proof-of-concept and technical feature paper presentations
Serve as a subject matter expert in application benchmarks for networking, databases, and virtualization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor or Master's degree in EE, CE or ME is strongly desirable
Minimum of 2 years of system engineering experience in server products is strongly desirable
Strong knowledge of server architecture and OS concepts
Knowledge of distributed computing is a plus
Knowledge of benchmarks including FIO, IOMeter, and HammerDB
Knowledge of PCIe protocol
Knowledge of databases including SQL/MySQL
Experience configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience with scripting languages including PowerShell and Linux Shell is a plus
Strong knowledge of server hardware and architectures, including PCI Express and OOB management
Experience in technical writing
Good communication skills
