About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and develop application benchmarks based on enterprise computing requirements and generic server architecture, including HammerDB, MySQL, RDMA, and flash-based storage (NVDIMM and NVMe)
Execute benchmark testing and build proofs of concept based on the latest data center technologies and Supermicro server products such as SuperServers
Work with product managers and system engineers to draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotional activities
Research new technologies and products to propose new proofs of concept
Work with sales and customers to provide networking solutions and technical knowledge
Define and implement current data center and server technologies
Serve as a subject matter expert in application benchmarks for networking, databases, and virtualization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor or Master's degree in EE, CE or ME with minimum of 2 years system engineering experiences in server products is strongly desirable
Strong knowledge in server architecture and OS concept
Knowledge in distributed computing is a plus
Knowledge in benchmarks (FIO/IOMeter/HammerDB)
Knowledge of PCIe protocol
Knowledge of databases (SQL/MySQL)
Experience configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Linux Shell) is a plus
Strong knowledge of server hardware and architectures, including PCI Express and OOB management
Experience in technical writing
Good communication skills
