About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support, test, and validate storage system-level products
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and validate storage performance and application solutions
  • Assist development of mechanical products by studying customer requirements and applying engineering principles
  • Evaluate mechanical designs of chassis and servers using mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials principles
  • Design testing methods and test sample and finished products
  • Confirm manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes
  • Assist with product planning, design, development support, regulatory compliance, and product life-cycle management
  • Solicit and collect new requirements for chassis and server products
  • Collaborate with other departments to leverage chassis/server platforms across the product portfolio
  • Coordinate cross-functional sustaining support, including RMA, failure analysis, and ECO implementations
  • Provide documentation and technical expertise for chassis/server product lines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Material Engineering, or other relevant engineering field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of system or mechanical engineering experience is desirable
  • Experience in configuring computer systems
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems
  • Solid background in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in ProE and CAD design
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
