About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, document, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize IT infrastructure
Align infrastructure implementation with security requirements across Private and Public Cloud environments and enterprise software solutions
Participate in strategic goals and plans for systems and storage infrastructure
Perform capacity planning and automate administrative tasks
Conduct cost-benefit analyses of infrastructure systems and technology solutions
Provide input and feedback on system design and implementation, including technical feasibility, budget, and enterprise alignment
Improve or replace legacy processes through automation and streamlining
Document system configuration and operating procedures
Work with stakeholders on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, including infrastructure identification, RPO/RTO, and points of failure
Design, document, implement, and deploy enterprise management tools
Improve and automate security compliance processes in Public and Private environments
Manage and maintain Public and Private hybrid infrastructure
Develop and deploy methodologies for system performance testing and health validation
Provide statistics and reports
Provide escalation support for Operations issues and resolve complex technical problems across technology departments
Work within the Infrastructure Engineering group and across Operations and Security to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, information sciences or related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in systems engineering role
Experience with VMware technologies (vSphere / ESXi 8x)
Experience with enterprise storage technologies such as SAN, FC, and ZFS
Technical knowledge of server operating systems
Experience managing Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
Hands-on Public cloud implementation / administration experience
Automation experience with common automation/orchestration tools
Valid U.S. work authorization allowing work without restrictions with Surescripts in the U.S.
Must not require immigration or work visa sponsorship
Must not require employer endorsement for F-1/CPT, F-1/STEM, academic training, or work-study programs
Preferred: Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking
Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise storage and backup solutions
Preferred: Experience with Surescripts’ software
Preferred: Knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL methodologies
Preferred: Experience with HIPAA compliance requirements
