About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own video editing for SURI, taking concepts from idea stage to final execution
- Work with in-house creative strategists and the paid-ad content creator to bring briefs to life
- Contribute to ad concepting sessions and storyboard concepts, bringing video trends, ideas, and insights
- Collaborate with growth and brand teams to create engaging, on-brand digital advertisements
- Manage the editing process through fast feedback loops with the briefer
- Own sound design, including voiceover processes and music selections
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-4 years of experience as a video editor (agency, in-house or freelance)
- Ability to work resourcefully with limited budgets
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment involving testing, learning, and rapid iteration
- Expertise in social media video trends across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
- Knowledge of metrics used to determine engagement
- Experience with awareness and direct response advertising and e-commerce marketing strategies
- Ability to take a brief through the production process, including pre-production advice, shot lists, and final editing
- Passion for storytelling and ability to hook and engage audiences through content
- Fluency in Premiere Pro and general video editing software
- Confidence in After Effects
- Colour-grading skills
