About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead discovery sessions, technical evaluations, architecture workshops, and infrastructure sizing for complex customer AI environments
  • Translate LLM inference, fine-tuning, and RAG workloads into scalable architectures using SUSE AI Factory, Rancher Prime, and the NVIDIA accelerated computing stack
  • Partner with Account Executives and field Solution Architects throughout sales cycles
  • Lead technical qualification, targeted proofs of concept, hands-on demonstrations, technical proposals, and RFI/RFP responses
  • Guide customers on infrastructure, integration, security, and governance for agentic AI, multi-agent systems, and MCP integrations
  • Architect customer solutions with hardware vendors, systems integrators, and cloud providers
  • Develop reusable reference architectures, solution blueprints, demonstrations, and technical enablement materials
  • Capture customer feedback and platform requirements for SUSE Product Management and Engineering
  • Translate GPU architecture, partitioning, scheduling, multi-tenancy, networking, storage, and air-gapped operations into technical and business value
  • Enable field sales teams and establish SUSE as a trusted platform for production enterprise AI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting experience translating technical expertise into customer solutions, proposals, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, and hands-on workshops
  • Ability to simplify complex AI and infrastructure concepts for technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders in matrixed environments, and drive execution
  • Hands-on experience designing, operating, and sizing GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI training, fine-tuning, and inference workloads
  • Understanding of GPU memory and compute characteristics, resource partitioning, workload scheduling, utilization, and multi-tenancy
  • Familiarity with vLLM, NIM, RAG, and vector databases
  • Working knowledge of the NVIDIA AI and accelerated computing ecosystem, including GPU architecture, NVIDIA AI Enterprise, CUDA, GPU and Network Operators, NCCL, GPUDirect, MIG, Run:ai, and high-performance interconnects
  • Expert-level Kubernetes architecture and cluster administration experience
  • Experience with or preference for RKE2, K3s, and Rancher Prime
  • Proficiency with Helm, GitOps, CNI, container runtimes, observability, workload scheduling, and multi-cluster lifecycle operations
  • Strong Linux systems knowledge, including networking, storage, containers, security, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
  • Familiarity with or ability to rapidly acquire expertise in SUSE AI Factory, SUSE Rancher Prime, SLES, SUSE Security (NeuVector), and SUSE Observability
  • Understanding of Ethernet, RoCEv2, RDMA, InfiniBand, and distributed and object storage architectures
  • Experience designing secure production architectures, including container security, software supply-chain security, identity and access management, workload isolation, air-gapped/disconnected environments, and enterprise AI governance
  • Required completion of criminal, credit, and/or employment-reference background checks after accepting an offer, where legally permitted
