About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and senior leadership to structure complex enterprise software transactions
  • Advise sales leaders and Account Executives on complex commercial situations and optimal deal structures
  • Own end-to-end deal structuring for strategic transactions from commercial design through executive approval and execution
  • Structure non-standard commercial agreements and pricing models
  • Identify commercial trade-offs, margin impacts, and downstream operational risks
  • Build and maintain economic models analyzing ARR, ACV, TCV, margins, and discounting impact
  • Partner with Finance on revenue recognition and internal-policy compliance
  • Educate Sales teams on pricing concessions and structural choices
  • Coordinate stakeholders across Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, and RevOps
  • Prepare data-backed business cases for executive approval
  • Ensure approved deal structures are accurately reflected in contracts and systems
  • Identify deal-review bottlenecks and design scalable, automated solutions
  • Develop commercial guidelines, playbooks, and templates
  • Monitor exception trends and approval cycle times to inform pricing and commercial policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7–10+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Strategy, Commercial Operations, FP&A, or a similar commercial structuring role
  • Proven track record supporting complex, high-value enterprise software / SaaS transactions
  • Exceptional Excel/Google Sheets skills with ability to build bespoke financial models from scratch
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and CPQ systems
  • Highly articulate written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex deals into simple executive summaries
  • Background in Open Source, enterprise infrastructure, or cloud technology preferred
  • Deep familiarity with subscription, consumption-based, or usage-based commercial models preferred
  • Position is subject to criminal, credit, and/or employment-reference background checks after offer acceptance
